My Friends on the Farm “MY FRIENDS AT THE FARM, with narration by Casey Affleck, provides an introduction for young people to the realities of factory farming. Children’s natural love of animals is strengthened as they meet the rescued animal “ambassadors” now living peacefully at our New York Shelter and learn their stories. Both in the classroom and on the farm, children express their feelings about animals who they may have only viewed as “breakfast, lunch and dinner,” by now may see as living, feeling beings with their own love of life.
