Needs & Wishes

Cleaning out your basement, garage or barn?  Before you throw anything away, consider recycling it by donating it to the farm.  Our projects require a wide variety of materials and tools, and we are grateful for the support of those who donate.  We are not a non-profit organization, so your donation will not be tax-deductible.  However, we will put your donation to good use.

General Needs List

  • Garden rakes
  • Pitch forks
  • Garden hoses (not leaky)
  • Hoes of any kind
  • Paper grocery bags
  • Clean, plastic grocery bags
  • Tarps (heavy duty)
  • Old hand and bath towels (stained and/or tattered fine as long as they are clean)
  • Laundry baskets (heavy duty)
  • Bushel baskets
  • Wheel barrows
  • Garden carts
  • Any tools that are in working order
  • Table cloths (useable condition)
  • Work gloves
  • Raingear
  • Rubber chore boots (adult sizes, no holes)
  • Folding chairs
  • Remay row cover for crops
  • Irrigation equipment
  • 5-gallon buckets (with or without lids, preferably with handles)

Construction Materials Needs List

  • Double-paned sliding glass doors
  • Insulated windows (all sizes)
  • Concrete blocks
  • Rough lumber
  • Stamped lumber
  • Any other materials you might have lying round that would be useful for construction projects

Pantry Needs

We are looking for folks who can help us stock our bulk pantry to feed the many hungry mouths of our apprentices and volunteers.  This is an enormous expense and any contribution is appreciated.  For example, your contribution of $25 could buy a bag of rice to feed the crew for a good long time.  In return for your contribution, we  encourage you to drop by the farm to share a tasty meal with the farm crew!

Wish List

  • Materials for our Lending Library (cookbooks, DVDs, books, etc. about plant-based lifestyles, farming, the environment, nutrition, health, etc.)
  • Yurts for apprentice dwellings
  • Greenhouses
