Community Harvest Party

2010 Community Harvest Party!

      RAIN OR SHINE!  WE HAVE PLENTY OF PLACES TO GET OUT OF THE WEATHER!     

Date: Saturday, September 25th  

Who: Everyone Welcome! 

Time: 3 pm -?

Cost: FREE!    

Location:  348 Lawson Road, Skandia, MI 49885

Activities: Hayrides (3:30 & 4:30), food (5:00), farm slide show, pumpkin carving, live music (3:00-?), press your own cider, yard games, face painting (3:00-5:00), bonfire and more.

What to Bring: Yourself, a knife(s) for pumpkin carving, warm clothes (remember to layer).  You may choose to bring a vegan (no animal products please) dish to pass if you are having dinner with us, but it is NOT necessary.  There will be plenty of food.  *  Consider helping us and the environment by bringing your own cups, plates & eating utensils.

We Will Provide: Pumpkins, entertainment, food & refreshments

Live Music from 3 pm - ?

Help us celebrate the release of David Gill’s first CD, “Moonlight on the Snow.”  His band will debut several songs off this greatly anticipated album!  To find out more, visit davidgillmusic.com.

Green Gene, Jen Copeman & others will be part of the evening’s lineup of local musical talent. 

We have been approached by several people who have asked how they might contribute to this ever-growing event.  Here's how you can help:

1.  Monetary sponsorships of the following: 

  • pumpkins
  • food & beverages
  • entertainment
  • apples

 

2.  Volunteers interested in:

  • face painting 
  • helping to serve food

 

3.  We are also in need of a hay wagon to borrow for the evening.
