Dancing Crane Farm will NOT be offering shares for the 2008 season. Our hope is to offer shares again in 2009. If you are looking for a CSA in the Marquette area, please visit our "Find Local Food" page. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has been around for a long time but has become more popular in recent years. CSA is a way for people to connect with farmers in a mutually beneficial way for both parties. The outcome of such a connection is that farmers are guaranteed income and people have access to wholesome, fresh food. CSA setups vary from farm to farm, but basically, subscription members put an amount of money down or pay in full to reserve a share of the farm's bounty for the season. Then, for a set period of time (about 16 weeks in our area), members receive a box of fresh produce each week. Some farms offer eggs, meat, cut flowers, honey, etc. instead of or in addition to produce.
