If you are seeking in-depth farming experience, we do offer a limited number of
internships each year, usually four or five. Interns must be able to volunteer on
the farm for a total of 14 hours per week on a combination of Tuesdays, Fridays
and Saturdays from April 1st – October 31st.

In exchange for a few hours of your time each week, we will share our
knowledge about seed germination, organic growing, season extension,
beekeeping, nurturing animals, farm construction (hoop houses, wood sheds,
etc.), healthy eating and much more. Interns also have the opportunity to give
farm tours, teach classes, staff the farm stand and much more depending on
their personal interest levels. Additionally, interns receive ample amounts of
produce to take home.  Meals are provided to interns on days that they work.

Farm work is one of the most rewarding endeavors a person ever undertakes.
Though farm work is always gratifying, it is also at times dirty, sweaty, buggy and
difficult. When such work occurs in the company of others of like mind in a
beautiful, peaceful and natural environment, those inconveniences seem
trivial.  You can expect to be doing one of the following at any given time: hand
weeding, mulching, harvesting, building, washing veggies, hoeing, planting,
packing produce boxes, etc. As much as possible, we try to assign you tasks that
interest you. However, at times there may be jobs that require all of us to pitch
in regardless of interest.

We seek interns with a positive attitude, a true desire to learn and a willingness
to work hard. In return, we will take time to answer questions, share our skills
and welcome you into our farm family.

No prior farm-related experience is required, just a
positive attitude, eagerness to learn and a willingness to
work hard.
